Despite the industry slump, private equity professionals remain upbeat about receiving their annual bonuses. Optimism is still high that the year's pay might at least match last year's figure, if not exceed it. As the bonus season draw nearer, private equity employees expect to see double-digit pay gains, standing out among the rest of Wall Street which is currently struggling under the pressure of rising interest rates.

While the current year has proven to be a challenging one, there is still hope that it will not affect the pay for professionals within the private equity sector.
